Dr. Kordestani, Founder and Managing Director of ChitoTech Company, was announced as the winner of the highly prestigious award of the "Prominent Woman of the Industry", in the National Day of Industry and Mining in Iran. In her speech thanking the organisers she said:  "The role of women in the current economy and the modern world in engineering and medical sciences is increasingly rising and in the knowledge-based companies using modern technology, we are able to produce high value added products and diversify our dependence on oil revenues.
