ChitoCell Original
Description: ChitoCell original is an oxidized regenerated cellulosic pad with broad antibacterial profile.It is indicated in surgical procedures as a hemostatic pad to stop capillary, venous, and small arterial hemorrhages. Chitocell absorbs blood and gently swells into a gelatinous mass which aids in the formation of clot.

Indications:
All surgeries including: anastomosis, tumor beds, neuro-surgeries, plastic surgeries. Suitable for patients with coagulopathic disorders Suitable for control of capillary, venous, and small arterial hemorages

Contraindications: Avoid using ChitoCell for implantation in bone defects, such as fractures, to avoid interference with bone cell formation and increasing the risk of cyst formation. Since ChitoCell will swell and could exert slight pressure, it must be removed after hemostasis in neurosurgery, bony tissues and the spinal cord surgeries
Warnings: ChitoCell should not be resterilized ChitoCell is not intended as a substitute for careful surgery and the proper use of sutures and ligatures Although ChitoCell is an antibacterial hemostatic agent, it is not intended to be used as a substitute for systemically administered therapeutic or prophylactic antimicrobial agents to control or to prevent postoperative infections Do not use ChitoCell as an adhesion prevention product ChitoCell is recommended to be removed after hemostasis is achieved.
Instructions for Use:
Clean the damaged organ by removing blood and other fluids properly. Cover the bleeding site with ChitoCell.
